It will be the same sunrise…not different from the last day. but………..
Days at “SCT” had given me handful of wonderful & fresh experiences…joining day at sct!!!how can anyone forget that???..each and everyone here remember it……..
So what happened at the first day here in my life??
MISSION ENGINEER
…My first day at SCT….i still remember..travelling some 50 stretched kms of enormous traffic in the morning with my parents to arrive at SCT…I saw it’s first glimpse when the man at my back pushed me when he was in a hurry to get down from the rusted KSRTC bus(it was the oldest bus that I have ever seen)…it looked like a typical govt. college washed with yellowish shade.. written in the main entrance gate “SCT COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING”….where I was admitted mechanical engineering for long 4 years…….
We were three friends from our village…from village to city transition…well it was totally different…we dressed in formals..like a medical representatives…once we crossed the main entrance we saw branded showroom models with their pompous parents who were eagerly waiting at the main auditorium to start the admission procedures..it’s better not to verbalize about the temporarily made auditorium(it’s a drawing hall convertible like a Mercedes s class coupe). We found out three safe chairs for our parents and we secured seats at their back with the aim of setting eyes on gorgeous city girls in modern outfit.
Suddenly everyone stood up as the principal, h.o.d, minister of state transport and some IAS personnel came and they occupied their respective seats at the dais. The proceedings started with prayer..After the 3 minute melody..then started the addressing of all the delegates present in the dais, it lasted for about two hrs and it was totally mind numbing..even we lost interest in girls after hearing that lackluster.
The allotment list were put on noticeboard..we saw a huge horde in front of the noticeboard…I even don’t know how i sneak a quick look at the names of my friends and that of mine…we were admitted to different batches..i was in A batch…and they were in D and G batches. The 420 students were allotted in 7 ( A to G) batches each having a staff advisor. We were advised to be present at their respective batches within 15 mins. The first year classes …rooms along dark corridor..it’s hard to portray…At about 15 mins all the first year A batch students were present. I was disheartened by the sight at my class”7 girls”…that was not the case ..i saw a lot of them in the morning…totally disappointed and exhausted… a long 1 yr with 7 girls..heck..!!..
Eagerly waiting for our staff advisor…the name on paper was “Sathi Devi”…Oh!! different thoughts flashed through my mind…expecting a Sushmita Sen in “MAIN HOON NA”.. atleast this can help compromising for having an odd number of girls in the class..i was sitting in the second bench of second row as our staff advisor came rushing with a loads of white paper.. Dishearted, disappointed, upset, disheartened and dillusioned by the sight..i was expecting a 25 yr old Ms.Sathi Devi..but instead it was a 52 yr old….Mrs.Sathi Devi…She never looked like a maths professor instead a fisherwomen squabbling in local slang, whom u can see in local trivandrum fish markets..her appearance..hi hi…her three fourth forehead was covered by huge circular red bindhi and she usually puts a red rose in her short curly hair..isn’t it weird??? After feeling dishearted I started filling the white paper that my "young" staff advisor had given to me. End of the first day.
..now a final year student at SCT..i realize how quickly those golden days came to an end..now it’s hardly 2 months for graduation. ‘ll surely going to miss boring & sleepy lectures, class bunks, group assignments, one way loves, gossips, cricket matches, birthday treats ,new day resolutions, late night talks and also late night study for exams….

yar ur feeling was great................
