 “19 FEB 2010”… the day which we waited…the day which 2010 mech batch waited for long three years..YES!! The day which won us the “KISHORE MEMORIAL CHALLENGERS CRICKET CUP ”

19 FEB 2010…2 pm…finals of kishore memorial challenger cup, M8 V U4 !!!!

The cricket ground was jam packed..with S4 & S8 students…cheering for their teams…I have never seen this much crowd in any of the challengers edition…we were two time semi finalists!!! The atmosphere was vociferous, deafening , earsplitting!!! Actually we were little bit tensed…This was the first time we are on finals ..and  our last chance to win this prestigious trophy!!!

SQUAD: RADHUL, SARATH, KRISHNAGOPAL,NABEEL, ARUN( myself),VISHNU V KUMAR, SOORAJ K S, VISHNU SASI, SHARAVAN, VISHAK,MUKESH, SANDEEP, M. KUTTY, RENJEETH.

Apart from we 13 guys, there  are names that which I should mention in this piece of  inscription…

SABARI , NAVEEN , ANAND  ,JANISH , AMRITH, ASHIK, SAJITH. RAHUL UK & ABHAY (these 2 idiots were not there at finals!!!)….anyway these guys were there with us from the beginning!!!

Well….that was one of the most exciting finals in  the history of challengers!!! We beat them by a margin of about 40 runs and won the challenger….everyone were excited.. and why not!!!!

22 FEB 2010!!!!!

This day in my life..Hoooooo…why????

The celebration of winning challengers were in full swing.. drums were hammered and the sound of drums perturbed the rhythm of our college…we ran into each classes in clusters, where we showcased the trophy and hopped and raised the slogan “ M8 ….. M8”!!!!..The celebration, in one way is a tradition at  sct, where the winners carry the trophies to each classes ( at class hours)  and celebrate their victory by hopping and  shouting slogans!!!!!

            The sound of drums  reached our new principal “ Mr.Chandramohan’s “ ears!!! The sound of drums made his ass burn.  His ass uprooted from the red cushion chair. This unique tradition was  however unfamiliar to this “authoritarian”!!! We went on with the celebration for an hour. As we came downstairs after the celebration…we saw principal, hod ,and some  winners of “scratch & win contest” were eagerly waiting for us…!!! Seeing them we absconded in different directions…unfortunate..AMRITH was holding the heavy drums and was not able to escape…he was hooked by the HOD & THE AUTHORITARIAN…!!!!

Within seconds Amrith was encircled by the authoritarian and company!!!...hi hi!! that was worth a sight “ Amrith holding with drums and don’t know what to do!!!” ...we were not able to bear up the condition and we rushed to the site where Amrith was  undergoing trial with his drums!!…. Seeing the sight of 60 guys scuttling  towards him….principal went a little bit nervous so the HOD.

First time I saw SABARI, JINU, NAVEEN & RADHUL say some filmy dialogue in front of principal to deal with the situation!!!! I was too excited after hearing heroic dialogues from sabari..well I guess principal too got impressed..and it was sure that SUSPENSION would be offered…but for whom???

…after some 20 minutes of altercation the principal ended the dispute!!!!!!!

We were happy…Amrith too was happy..why not…no suspension!!!

After an hour or so…I saw some of our classmates in front of the noticeboard !!!Abhay too was there..well !!! he was not in the morning!!! His eyes were bulged and looked a little bit tensed!! To know what exactly happened I glared at noticeboard and saw the SUSPENSION NOTICE….hi..hi…as predicted:

1.    Sabari

2.    Naveen

3.    Radhul   &  4. Abhay

I still don’t know how Abhay’s name came into the list(someone said ..his project guide Mr. Joy Varghese  suggested his name!!!)….well any way…..it happened!!!!

So, we decided to go for a strike in opposition to the suspension offered by the principal. With Sasi, Sharavan, Sabari ,Naveen, Jinu in front, we called strike by shouting brutal slogans against the new principal. Well the principal seemed helpless at this situation..his dear friend Mr. HOD too was of no use at this time..both of them could only witness classrooms become empty as the strike made progress… and at last we M8 guys marched to the principal room.

 Hooo….principal got terrified and atlast he compromised on a “group apology “!!!...( what else can he do???)

So we signed in a group apology letter and gave it to our own Valyettan (our class rep.)and shouted…….” M8…M8”!!!

Well that that was one of the greatest day in our college life…

All that happened in a single day just for an A4 sheet and some 60 signatures!!!!!
